Quality care, within reach

Understanding the cost of dental care should be straightforward. At Calm Dental Care in San Jose, we explain recommended treatment, provide a written estimate, and discuss payment options before you decide to proceed.

Our goal is to help you plan your care with confidence. If your treatment needs change, we explain any corresponding changes to the plan and estimated cost.

Please ask when payment will be due and which payment methods are accepted. Any payment arrangement should be agreed upon before treatment begins.

Clear Costs - Flexible Options

Insurance

We work with many major dental insurance plans and help you understand your available benefits. Please provide your current insurance information before your appointment so our team can review your coverage.

Working with an insurance plan does not necessarily mean we are an in-network provider. Ask us to confirm our participation with your specific plan.

Your estimated portion may include deductibles, copayments, and services your plan does not cover. Insurance estimates are not guarantees of payment; your insurer determines the final benefit, and you remain responsible for any unpaid balance.

In-Office Financing & Payment Plans

For larger treatment plans, ask about available in-office payment arrangements and third-party healthcare financing through CareCredit and Cherry.

Third-party financing is subject to approval and the financing provider’s terms. Interest rates, promotional periods, fees, and payment schedules may vary. Review the agreement carefully, including what happens when a promotional period ends.

Our team can explain how to apply and help you understand the treatment amount you would be financing.

Membership Plan — No Insurance Needed

Our in-house membership plan offers preventive care and treatment discounts for an annual fee.

A membership plan is not dental insurance. Ask for the current written details, including covered services, discounts, exclusions, renewal terms, and whether benefits can be combined with other offers.

Current Patient Offers

Ask about current offers, which may include dental implants, clear aligners, and also a complimentary focused new-patient exam.

Before booking, confirm eligibility, expiration dates, what is included, and whether an offer can be combined with insurance, membership benefits, or financing. For a complimentary exam, ask whether X-rays or other services carry separate charges.

Planning Treatment Around Your Budget

If cost is a concern, tell us. When clinically appropriate, Dr. Maxson can discuss completing treatment in stages or considering alternative treatment options.

We also explain which needs deserve timely attention and what could happen if treatment is delayed. The goal is to help you make an informed decision about both your health and your budget.
